Default Interior De-Ricing Progress

Well, I've slowly but surely been sanding down all the blue paint I had in the interior. When it finally gets warmer, I'm going to basically paint everything below the headliner satin black. Well, I figured that some people might be interested in how far I've come so far. (by the way, this time I'm going to paint everything correctly--the first time I painted the pieces, I was in a hurry resulting in a sloppy paint job. This time, it's going to be primered, painted, clearcoated, etc.)

Anyway, here's what I was dealing with before I started:

And here's what I have so far:

I'll keep posting updates as I sand down more stuff and start painting everything.

yeah, I definitely plan on taking my time... obviously, I actually sanded this time, I'm going to be primering everything, sanding more, paintingmultiple layers, then clearcoating it... I think it'll turn out pretty good. As soon as it gets warmer, I'm going to take the pillar trim off to sand off the texture (I like the interior smooth, not that grain stuff) and sand down the remaining painted pieces. I'll get more pics up in the next couple days.

There's nothing quite like spending an hour or two alone in your basement sanding paint off plastic... At any rate, I have the passenger door done... all that remains is the door trim (the things at the bottom of the door jamb), the cup holder, and the rear speaker grilles... then I can primer everything and paint it all satin black!
