Im having a hard time on turbod16.com figuring out if the block needs any honing with the 75mm Vitaras? If im reading the threads right, it seems a 75.5 oversize does but the 75 drops right in? Can someone tell me what machining will be neccessary if not?

75 will drop in but they will fit loose. By Honda's standards they would be out of tolerance. That is why I will not use them. There is a buy going on, on d-series.org right now for 75.5mm is the seller gets enough interest.

I run the 75mm, do not have one problem. Slightly louder than normal at start up, once it gets warm you dont know the difference.

Most people who use them will say that. I'm just a tolerance/torque nazi. Trained to be that way.

understandable, if there had not been all the proof that they work great in D's, i would have said screw it. Trust me, everything else in that motor is 100% by the book as far as torque and clearance #'s are concerned.

Its like a soft clicking.Closest thing i guess it sounds like you need a valve adjustment, but like i said, as soon as it warms up, it goes away.

That is called piston slap. The sound is the piston slapping the cylinder wall a bit until it warms up and expands. It is obviously not major or people would be having problems immediately.Just let the engine warm up before you drive it.
