Product: MEGAN headers, drift spec catback exhaust, and test pipe.
Cost: $675.00
Rating: 10 of 10
Install time: 5 hours all together, one of the hours was figuring how to get a bolt off that was rusty, and about another hour was beer breaks:D...real easy toinstall so easy a caveman could do it!
Performance: Wow the top end feels great, I have never expected such good quality sound and power from this....a completely new exhaust really makes the difference.

BTW you dont need to bump something you're showing off, it is kind of childish... dont worry, we see it! ;)
tknaub 04-27-2007, 12:06 AM I know i really didnt want to bump it but whatever.....my car is extremely dirty because it is still somewhat snowing here...or raining so its really hard to keep her clean.[:@]
This summer im moving from AK to NC so the lack of snow and rain there should let me rub on her a bit.
Doug30 05-04-2007, 08:28 PM That looks really nice!!
tknaub 05-04-2007, 09:25 PM Thanks man, we put alotof work into it, with the header, catback exhaust, and test pipe....it was worth it!
riceburner700 05-05-2007, 12:46 AM wow that is a very beautiful header system you have there man. and the exhaust looks nice as well.
tknaub 05-05-2007, 12:54 AM Thanks! Megan seems like top notch to me, i think i will always be a Megan fan, although im having minor probelms which is NOT Megans fault but my lack of knowlegde with exhaust....my lesson learned, NEVER GET A TEST PIPE! although they are cool, a Cat would of been better and i wouldnt have some minor propblems that i have now....but im going to work through it and keep the test pipe. but IT IS NOT MEGAN'S FAULT....only my own.
Doug30 05-10-2007, 10:20 PM Have you heard of these headers, cracking?
tknaub 05-10-2007, 11:25 PM nope never.....you may be thinking of ceramic headers, these are stainless steel, but even if they do crack, they are only 150.00 and easy to replace, if you have a problem withany of Megan's products the encourage that you call them, usally a simple phone call can be the replacement. I trust Megan and im not worried about cracking, or breaking anything.
TheMoogly 05-10-2007, 11:37 PM And how is that injen CAI working for you? Can you take a picture of where the cone is sitting?
tknaub 05-11-2007, 01:29 AM The INJEN is awesome, unfourtately i cant get a pic of it b/c its at my right front bumper.....i have a spare one....just waiting for some1 to ask for an INJEN for a 7th gen.
Looks really good, the colours are nice too. Did you make sure to whipe all your finger prints off it before starting the car, if not the header will heat up and they will be there forever. But it looks clean.
addiction2bass 05-12-2007, 01:11 PM looks like ya handled the header alot....
or did it come that way and color?
when i put on my header i made sure to wear some brand new cotton gloves and so far ive only got a few minor blueish spots. i didnt realy care about the lower header piece but the upper i was very carefull not to touch!
tknaub 05-12-2007, 02:58 PM I tried so hard not to touch the headers, i wore new latex gloves every 10 minutes (they kept ripping) but i never touched the headers with my skin...therefore, latex sucks ass! but after a while i like the color, i have alot of purple inside my car and my underglow is purple too. PURPLE FTMFW!!1
addiction2bass 05-12-2007, 04:24 PM ya i dont like latex gloves.... i realy like some nice woven cotton gloves! washable reusable breathable and just feel good ;)
i only use latex when im greasing the car.
tknaub 05-12-2007, 09:11 PM [:@]i hate latex!
Doug30 05-13-2007, 11:29 AM I was wondering if you have any sound clips of your exhaust? I just bought that header, and am now shopping for the cat-back system. I just want to know how that sounds.
tknaub 05-13-2007, 06:54 PM ill see what i can do for ya! remember i also have a test pipe.
Doug30 05-13-2007, 10:51 PM alright thanks.
kolan67 06-25-2007, 12:45 AM Hello guys, im new the civic forum..
Preface:
I have a problem, recently i've been going up into the moutains a lot. and my civic 2003 sedan lx is getting owned. All i have on it are eibach springs and an aem short ram. I go snowboarding a lot, and i also have some family up in the mountains.
Question:
Would it be a dumb idea to just install headers, without the whole exhaust system? From the megan website, they only provide EX headers? Also, the exhaust system consists of what parts? heh, im noob.
ty
TheMoogly 06-25-2007, 02:59 AM PM'd... but so anyone else can see: If you've already put all that time and money into doing the LX-->EX header swap then you really should attach them to a new catback. If you never even want to turbo your car you can keep the diameter small and get a quieter can to keep your car more silent, that'll still let the car breathe good and keep friendships with neighbors.
Thefbomb13 07-16-2007, 08:52 PM i got that header!! woooweee those bolts and nuts were pains in the ass .. haha i paid like $45 for the 5 nuts 4 bolts and 2 springs from honda jeezz!
s2000gtx 07-17-2007, 09:22 AM dude i really like that megan headers u have there it look so awesome. by the way ur engine look so new and shinny whast ur secret lol

ic892003 07-17-2007, 05:42 PM and the headers look sick, when u put the exhaust system on did u have to do a little modification or did it fit perfectly?
jason_hann53 07-20-2007, 01:22 AM ic892003: nice car man and nice sounding exhaust too.
tknaub: those headers look sooo awesome haha. you have the lx or dx, but where did you get the headers/catback? ive been looking for a megan catback for my dx for a while.
tknaub 07-22-2007, 07:11 PM i got them from www.meganracing.com (http://www.meganracing.com)i have a LX but if you want to do this you need to start the converson to an EX.....
t34me 07-27-2007, 09:33 PM just got the exact same set up on my new integra. AWESOME torque increase...but the DB's?? I have always been a hater on silencers....but i honestly had to throw mine in...it was outrageous at WOT.
jason_hann53 08-06-2007, 09:51 PM so you guys dont think 2.5" diameter is too big? cuz i was thinking a megan header and magnaflow exhuast since hte diameter is only 2.25"
ShadowEM2 08-07-2007, 11:48 AM so is the megan drift spec real loud or does it got a nice deep tone i dont want a loud rice sound.. i have a 04 ex
tknaub 08-07-2007, 06:15 PM yes, mine is loud because i have a test pipe also, i get a nice deep tone and i have been asked if it is a Greddy exhaust by a couple of other honda owners. The way your car would sound "ricey" is if you only had a muffler weld on, go all out on your exhaust.....buy the headers, and the catback, a test pipe (illegal in moststates)or a high flow catalictic convertor. and acold air intake (CAI) or short ram intake (SRI) wouldnt hurt either. Any other questionsPM me.
mahlum 08-12-2007, 04:20 PM I ended up purchasing a Megan Racing 4-1 Header for my 04 EXon your recommendation and pictures. Besides, the price wasa steal over DC Sports and you know your getting quality instead of those $30 Ebay specials.
Damn you keep your engine clean, mine needs a bath.
basbal123 08-12-2007, 04:47 PM hey guys i just got the megan headers and drift spec on heres the sound clip
