Default 98 Civic HX vs. 2004 Subaru 2.5 RS

Yeah, so a few days ago my friend got a new car, and figured he had no problem taking me. I believe he was gonna take me aswell. His car is Stock with an STI exhaust, my car has I/H/E, Throttle body spacer ( gone in abouta week due to gettting a port and polished manifold and ported TB)and aem cam gear. My car is a CVT, his was an Auto.

Went out around midnight, no one on road and decided to give it ago. We did the 3 honk thing and we took off. He pulled ahead of me in the beginning by like a fender or so and was gaining alittle bit. As my Rpms went higher I started to pull on him and by the time I knew it I was half a car ahead of him and we both let off.

2nd time we did it from a stop and I seemed tohave a good start fromthe stop.I just continued to pull on him as I was about 1.5 cars ahead of him and let off.

Both of us were quite suprised that my car was actually quicker. I think it has to do with the power to weight ratio though. Would have been better had we gone to a track and did it, but we'll see what happens this summer.

I believe the 2.5RS only runs low 16's to high 15's. Nothing that impressive. Handling wise he will own though.

Yeah, it's a high 15 sec car. But everyone bad mouths the cvt saying how slow it is.

Plus the 2.5rs stock is 165 hp/166 tq. Hx 115 hp/104 tq. A 500lb difference aswell.
