I have a 2001 civic and the check engine light came on and the manifold got so hot,it cracked.I replaced the catalytic converter and the manifold and it did it again.It will lose power and the check engine light comes on.It never registers hot and it runs fine after I let the engine cool off for about 5 minutes.This last time the key light came on as welland the check engine light went off by itself but the manifold was glowing it got so hot instantly.Does anybody know whats causing this problem?

Just bought this 94 hatch, have a accelaration problem,Step on the throttle hard and it falls on its face and sucks a lot of air.Slow accelaration it runs fine but you can not give it more than 1/4 throttle till you get theR's up.has a D15B Vtec 2601072 motor, 37820-P08-020 460 306860 Ecu,5 Speed anybody got any sugestions?
