actually xcm the tires come off monday to be replaced as the aformentioned highway pothole put bubbles in the side walls...I know then it was dumb to run it but at 30yrs I am stubborn and have driven on worse.hence the crazy death call stories from dad.

Ok, I'll let it slide then...this time.

I finally made myself by the paint for the rims today and I plan on painting them tomorrow. Sacicons, can you explain how the sanding goes? All they had at Autozone was 400 grain. Will this be a problem? Once again, thank you for your help.

Mad I used what I could find. the packets had a hodge podge of different grain count. I imagine abraise it enough to dullen the appearance. But if you go to deep(I did of course) Be surew to watch it and give it enough coats of paint and clear to make it blend.

Saci will hopefully chime in with his wisdome.

yeah, thats pretty much how i did it too. 400 should be fine enough. did you get the black wet/dry paper? it seems to work a lot better, especially wet, then let it dry really well.

Cool dude, my friend told me the same thing. I just Simple Greened the crap out of them like 5 times over. At this moment 11:19 PST, I'm waiting for the second coat to dry on them which is taking SO MUCH longer than the first, and then I'm going to do one more really light coat. Thus far they are off the hook! I'll post some before and after pics on my car domain site when I'm done. By the way, god damn does that stuff make you sick. My head is still spinning from the fumes.................................and yes, I did it outside with a paint mask, but it still got to me! I guess I'm a girl in that respect.

Sheet me an my Dad(50 something) got HIIIIIIIGHHHH. And we too was outdoors. Just wait long enough for it to get tacky to the touch not completely dry before applying the next coat. That should save some time. PICS I need to see em..Saci where are yours?
