Default what engines fits a 86 civic ew1

the the car just blew a piston and wanted to see if it was better just to swap it with a slightly powerful engine rather than to replace the pistons and rebuild the engine.. the engine in there is a ew1 70hp 3bbl carb setup. dont know what could fit in there with minimal problems. any info would be appreciated.

a good one is the d16a1 from an 86-89 integra. the 88-89 has slightloy more power than the 86-87. that is a bolt in, but if you want more power then you could get a mount kit and put really any engine into your car. its all about how much money you have an how fast you want to go

the d16a1 from th 86-87 integra will drop rite in. the hard part is the wiring harness. and all of the fuel lines back to the tank will need to be replaced with fuel injection hose and a eletric fuel pump. but what ive done before is dropp this motor in and found a set of 4 carbs off an older gsxr and clamped them to the runners on the intake manafold. but then the throttle linkage was a pain in the ass.
