So the highschool I graduated from last year had their graduation tonight. Went to that then it ended so I decided to out to "The Vally". If any of you are from around Central Texas then you know what i'm talking about. For everyone who doesn't it is a big 8 lane (4 and 4) road in the middle of Waco. Every Friday and Saturday people come out and race eachother up and down about a two mile strip of road way. Well tonight it was rather wet due to rain, so when I got out there, there wern't many people out. I was just cruizing up and down the strip when I pull up to a newer model impala. I'm not sure what they have in them, but I have heard they aren't slow. We both roll out from the light, as to not spin tires, I shift to second and slowly give it a little more gas. He responds. I floor it. He floors it. I'm hitting around 5k or so, but I am already stomping him by about a car length and a half, bam third. Pull even further. I hit 60 mph and let off. The speed limit is 40 >.< Can't be getting pulled over in my new baby. He speeds by knowing he just lost to a civic

Next race. Was against a later 90's model eclipse. Looked mostly stock. Hahahaha. Easy lunch. He drives by with his fart cannon exhaust, I speed up and get next to him. We get on it. I automatically leave him in the dust so he gave up right then and there. It was probably around a 30-40 mph roll start if I remember correctly.

Tried to race a firebird with a mean sounding exhaust. He pulled up next to me so I threw it down into second and took off from about 30 mph. He got on it a little then just let off. This happend one more time. After that he was just toying and wouldn't race me. Then he turned off and went somewhere else. I think he was scared to lose to a Civic with his girl in the car.

All in all fun night.

This stock Civic is proving to be quite the mennis. I <3 it.

Which one? I know the Firebird didn't really race me so yeah he let me win. The other two guys were punching it. I could hear their engines racing and hitting very high rpms. Mr. Impala wouldn't have driven by with a sour look on his face if I hadn't of smoked him. Eclipse was probably an RS so it was a POS anyway.

that impala stock vs stock runs nearly a full second faster than you in the 1/4 mile and is a automatic, traps about 8mph faster than you also. I could see the eclipse being a close race for you with you winning but I dont know about the Impala.

I'm sure if it were from a dead stop on dry pavement and a full 1/4 I probably would have lost against the Impala. It was still fun nonetheless so i'm not sweating it.

haha nice man. ive raced a few people in my 02 dx coupe, its pretty quick for being stock under the hood haha. i beat someone in an 04 LX with a V2. it was funny cuz he thinks his car is so fast, good buddy of mine. i also raced a taurus, an integra, a talon. only won against the civc and hte taurus. barely lost to the integra and the talon SMOKED me cuz it was the TSI AWD haha. lost by about a car and a half though. all the cars were stick, cuz who races an automatic?

there are a lot of ppl that race an automatic. I know its alot easier for a muscle car for them. Unless there really good and can hit all there gears without lossing control of there car. But I was wondering do you goto Temple on friday nights for test and tune. I will be there on the 15th of June that will be the 1st friday that I will be back. If so let me know and maybe we can hook up and Ill show you my si off. I know there is no way that you are going to beat me after I get back into shape of drriving a stick again. Being in Iraq and Kuwait for 9 months sucks azz. So give me a minute and I will so you what it can do. Unless my buddy has been taking my car out there to race. Whih I doubt but who knows. If you see a blue w/ carbon fiber 04 si that is my buddy.

Lol yeah are you talking to me? I've never been to temple for a Test and Tune thing. Give me some more info and I'll see if I can make it! Will all depend on if I work or not.

WEll yes I was seeing that I live about 1 hour 30minutes from Waco. You know how to get to Belton right. I cant remember the name of the road off the top of my head right now but you would hang a left underneath an overpass and follow that road stright till you see a shell gas station then make a right then about a 1 down that road is the track on the right side of the road.
