ORIGINAL: TheShimster91HB I was just an innocent by-stander to this but i thought I would share. I was just walkin back up to the pizza joint where i deliver when I hear this CrAzY loud exhaust. I look towards the road and see this green with black stripe 69' charger and a newer style mustang roar past. It was so loud, It sounded like open headers. Anyways, Seeing those cars flooring it was an amazing site, but then I freakin laughed my @$$ off when i see a cop wizz by chasing em down. On my next deliver going the opposite way i see another cop joining the chase. The next time i saw they were both gettin towed. This definitely made my night. Hey Pizza boy, you sound like an 8 year old laughing because your sister got in trouble... Whats with all the hate these days? Domestics vs imports who cares? We all share a common interest and need to quit the bullshit. Street racing is wrong but I would bet nearly all of the peeps registered in here have done it at one time or another. I have and I've gotten away with it and been busted. Its something you hopefully grow out of before you kill someone including yourself. RR

i think Muscle guys should respect some imports that really have some time/power in them, and Marty pointed out a good point that alot of us import guys bitch about muscle guys hating on us, but we do it right back, so w'ere just as guilty (myself included lol ) but i would hope that American muscle heads can respect imports and what lightweight turbocharged SI's can do, just as i would hope us import guys can respect the torque and time put into restoring older muslce cars, hell i'll admit any day my car is slow as hell and the torque of an old muscle cars is impressive as hell, but i hope you can respect 300 whp coming out of SovXietday's built and boosted D series, that tiny 1.6 L with some killer power, thast impressive and Marty if yo uread this, thanks for pointing that out, i'm guilty and i'll admit that lol

usually a true gearhead will show respect for anything that's fast, don't matter if it's a 1.6 or a 8.1. i'm not really an import guy, but if it's fast, i like it. there are several imports where i live that are pretty quick. we've hung out several times. we all give credit where credit is due. we give each other a hard time about the import vs. domestic, but it's all in good fun and we know it. the fast and furious has ruined the import tuner image. i get annoyed by someone who takes a 95 civic, throws a fart pipe and CAI on, and REALLY thinks the car is fast. swerving in and out of traffic, engine constantly redlining just to make some noise......alot of people see an import (true tuner or not) and this is the mental image and mentality that comes to mind. you've gotta learn to not let people get to you. i've got 2 trucks that are pretty quick. i used to get really defensive when people would say "haha, it's a TRUCK, it CAN'T be fast". now i'm just "yeah, whatever" some people think that just because i have a truck i'm a big redneck and haul horses, and cow crap all the time. i just blow it off and chock it up to ignorance. you've gotta learn to do the same thing. if you like it who gives a flying hell what everyone else likes??

I think thats great that domestic and import guys can get along and agree on sh*t like that, around here all the redneck muscle/truck dudes hate on any "riceburner", even if it isnt modified, so its kinda hard to imagine muslce guys being cool to import guys, but thats awesome, i wish there were more people like that around here. I'm definitely an import guy, but i cant deny the torque of domestics quote:

If you think decals/fart cans/tinted windows makes your car fast, yea, your car is ricey, but if you can openly admit your car is slow as hell, i dont think its that bad. btw that whole post of yours was very knowledgable and honestly one of the best i've seen in a while

RR It is not the fact that they were muscle cars that made me laugh. I believe any type of street racing is wrong. If it were say an rx-7 and a civic goin at it ( i love both) I would have laughed at their stupidity just as much. Also you say pizza boy as if it were a bad thing, its a nice side job where i cruise around in my own ride bringin down $150+ a night. My real job is at FJO Racing Products, check us out. Peace.

I'm definitely an import guy, but i cant deny the torque of domestics like i said, we give credit where credit is due. there's some fast little cars around here. then there are some that are fast for what they are. 13s in a civic is a pretty nice feat. are 13s fast? not in my opinion, but just like my 13sec SUV....it's definately respectable for the vehicle quote:
