Default wiring up fogs need help

well im going tro get my fogs in my body kit wired up this week, i want them to have a seperate switch that the fogs alredy come with, my friend says he can do it but i dont know if i should let him lol, he did my indash dvd player and he wired it up correctly, but i dont know if i should let him do the fogs....... what do u guys say???? also are female connectors and male connectors absoultuely neccesary or not, cause he said he doesnt need them while anotehr guy said to use em and what d they do'?

Wiring up fogs isnt that complicated and if he can install a dvd player than he should be able to do them to if he knows anything about wiring... But thats ur call and no u dont have to have the butt connectors but it is the right way to do it...

The male/female spade connectors just allow you to unhook, and reconnect. Butt connectors, or solder and tape will do a better job. Wire up some relays UNDER the hood, and use the switch to throw a ground to turn the lights on. That way you don't need to take 12 volts thru the fire wall. The lights are outside and up front.....and so is your battery!
