Default quick question on a race happening next saturday

i have just recently swapped my d16y8 for my b18c5 with sri, s2 intake manifold, exhaust, anda header. and my friend just bought an evo 8 and took me for a ride and i wasnt impressed at all. so he asked me if i wanted to run him from a 40 mph roll and i said sure i was wondering if i have a chance in hell at beating him i figure that he took away his only real advantage by going from a roll and not a dig. Ohh and also the evo has some problems like it sputters like crazy once it gets past 4500 rpms so i am thinking that i MIGHT be able to take him by like a car MAYBE. and thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

you will have a better chance if it is from a roll, awd is better at launching. you should be able to beat.

depending on whether you have anything else done, but i say you have a chance if the motor isn't in top shape

Your friend is a moron for wanting to race with a motor that isn't running right. Thats probablythe only thing that is going to help you win as well. IF it was in top shape, youwouldn't have a chance

i dont think that he would kill me if it was it top shape. a stock evo8 runs like 13.2 in the 1/4 and with an inexperienced driver it will run like 13.6 and last weekend i ran 13.72 well thank you for the input i will let you know what happens

well if you sprayed then you did not run all motor and you never said you were on the juice in your first post. with the juice then 13's are a possibility. you have any pics of your ride?
