So I went to the local Flashlight Drags yesterday. The track is only an 1/8th mile long but its still fun and good launch practice. I got in 10 races total and won 5 and lost 5. I did a hell of a lot better than I thought.
First race I was suppose to race a 95 EX with I/E But the pairing got screwed up and ended up racing an STI and only lost by 2 cars somehow.
2nd race I got with the EX and beat him by a car and a half.
3rd race was against a 99 EX with a type-R swap and I/H/E Lost by a car and a half.
4th race was against a RSX Frankenstein N/A Build. Won that one barely only cause he didnt get any traction the whole 1/8th mile haha.
5th race was against a stock cobalt which I won by about a car and a half.
6th and 7th race were against my Friend in his 03 cavi with I/H/E which I won one and lost one.
8th and 9th Race was against an eg coupe with a b16 swap which I won one and lost one.
10th Race was against a stock SRT-4 which I lost by 2 cars.

Great day overall and I cant wait to finish my I/H/E, do some more Weight Reduction and get some sticky tires. Then I should get within a Car length of those stock STIs and SRT-4s!

1/8 mile isn't very long, he would have got walked like a dog on a 1/4 mile track.

Sounds like fun, but what the hell is a flashlight dragrace?

Hell yea I wouldve got owned bad by all those turbos and stuff on the 1/4 thats why i like the 1/8th for now haha.  Flashlights drags are basically a sanctioned, legal street race. they usually take place on a closed airport runway and instead of a tree you have a chick holding a flashlight, when she flashes it you go.
