Default Resonator, Catback, or Custom

I'll start this off as saying that I don't have any local muffler shops, all of them are chains...

I bought a 97 EX coupe recently and need the exhaust fixed.

First I thought it was the cat, based on the ugly weedwacker sound coming from it, but then I took it to a Monro Muffler & Brake and they said that I need everything after the cat replaced because the guy who had it before me just cut the stuff out and welded straight pipes in.

Then I went to the Honda dealer and got an exploded diagram so I could crawl under the car and see what exactly it is I need. The "Pipe B" looks to be in good condition, except for the resonator looks like somebody shoved a rusty pipe in place of it. So....

I could have monro put a new "stock" exhaust on for $400 ..or..
Drive nearly 2 hours away to a muffler shop that one of my friends recommended ..or..
Does anyone haveany opinions ofthese, I know they aren't name brand, but a custom exhaust wouldn't be either. http://item.express.ebay.com/_Car-Tr...mdZExpressItem

I just need something to quiet it down so I don't go deaf from pulling into the garage at night or have the old ladys across town calling and complaining

note: money is tight, but gettingticketedis worse
