Default New clutch is in and the boost can finally be used!

So I have been boosted for about 2 months now and havent been able to really get on it yet for many different reasons. First was not being tuned then was the fuel pump leaning out then I got a new fuel pump and retuned and the clutch started slipping really badly. I had not pushed it to redline since I started boosting until yesterday. I put a ACT HD pressure plate and a 6 puck race disc inyesterday (that was quite a project btw) and the thing is insane! Im making 229 whp on about 9 psi in my b16 and I actually barked the tires in 4th gear at about 85mphwith this new clutch!

This might be more of a tans/diff post but the clutch was only installed because of the turbo and it really brought the turbo to life so I thought I would post here. Heres a few pics from the install yesterday and I will have to try and get some vids up soon too.

6 puck race disc that I was going to sell for fear it would be too harshbut Iwent ahead and used it and Imglad I did.

Finally got the tranny off the block! YAY!

Heres the slipping little bastard out of the car.

Tranny just chillin on the ground.

Ahh beautiful! The new clutch in the car and ready to go.

Yeah the install was pretty rough. It didnt help that I live in florida and we were working outside so it was just under 100*f. Yeah my car is a dd but for such a strong clutch the pedal effort is really not bad at all. The engagement is alot lower that the stock clutch. The only downfall is that its a little chattery in 1st gear. Other than that I absolutely love it.

Well if it wasnt so hot outside and I knew what I was doing a little better it probably could have been done in 4-6 hours but it took me about 8. I actually had to stop working cause I thought I was going to throw up from the heat and dehydration. Gotta love florida!

Just remember:
Going past your vehicle's redline (even with an upgraded valvetrain) is like smoking; sure, you might enjoy it while you're doing it, but eventually you'll look back and realize the damage you've done
