ya it was the heat sheild. and i did use actual wrap. it has stopped smoking, so i think all is well, thanks guys.

exhaust wrap..

i had to put wrap on the down pipe that goes under the oil pan because that casing that comes stock cracked (not my fault). i put it on yesterday, and by the time i got down the street it smelled...

i know this is a dumb question, but the idiot at the Honda place didnt answer it. I got three quarts of trans fluid, but when i started putting it in, it hardly got to teo quarts and it started...

replacing my clutch..

so the time has come to replace my clutch. i have a 99 civic dx hb. i do plan on adding parts to the engine after the clutch is redone, so my question is what kind of clutch set-up should i go to?? ...

pretty much. plus i want to learn things step by step, not put a big and expensive thing on, and then learn why it WONT run after it broke already...

wont go into first gear...

heres the problem: some times when i got to put it into first gear, it kinda stick, and wont exactly go into gear. if i put it in second then into first it seems to free things up, and it'll go...
