Default Someone please help!

I am getting ready to buy a 2004 honda civic. My wife and I got a car fax report, and everything seems to be fine, execpt one thing, the timing belt was replaced after only 14,000 miles. My buddie said this was kind of odd. The car retails for over 12,000 dollars, and we are getting it for 9800. Also the dealer got it at an auction. Sholud this be something to be really worried about? Someone help me out before I INVEST. The car was bought brand new in 2004. could it have just been a faulty timing belt, or something more major? thanks.

If the timing belt snapped, there could have been engine damage.

Personally I'd keep looking. If you get it, I'm sure it will be fine, but it will always be in your mind.
