so true i had a 1989 lx hatch 5.0 it had a 2.5 inch exhaust with flowmasters / ford racing headers /  bbk x-pipe a ford racing 70mm throttle body / 76 mm mass air / a cold air kit / 3.73 rear gears / 1.7 roller rockers and stock ported heads with bad traction it ran a 8.11 in a 1/8 mile track. the 89-93 fox bodys take mods real good and the 99 up mustangs do to  the 94-95 sn95's where pigs imo

I used to kill fox bodies with all the breathing mods and bigger injectors with my old formula. I see them for the most part in the 14's and some in the 15's but if a set of heads are added along with a better gear in the rear they would put up a good fight and sometimes get me. I find it hard to find people in them that will try against the Vette which is a shame, I did have a douche in a 96 gt try but it was ragged out and after I pulled on him hard from a 2nd gear roll I stopped because it was a waste of gas.

Couldnt agree more, that whole body style was garbage with the 5.0L and the 4.6L... Cobra models were OK(still underpowered IMO) but the GTs and V6's were heavy and underpowered considerably. Worst Mustangs ever made when it comes to performance.

IDK the old "King Cobra" and Mustang II's were junk also.

beastly... I'd fear it. Man that suspension looks sporty right there...and the white walls. How can you doubt its power??

My 96 cobra came with 305 hp according to Ford, that's not that bad(or underpowered) considering that the regular gts apparently had 215 hp stock. Polo, that's unfair, I am still n/a so of course my car can't keep up, but hell you give me a couple months we can set up HCF's first mustang only race, I still have a few secrets up my sleeve before I go forced induction.
