yeah keep it moving, never hold it in one area for a long time period other wise you can ruin your paint. but they are really simple to use.

Does that wal mart one have a speed setting? (Or do they all have that?) I tried to find it online but I cant even find thier "Auto section." Polishing my car... all this is a new concept for me. I have never cared about my car enough to do this kind of stuff. Heck I went months without taking my old car to the wash. I'm lazy so I got those full services places. Figure I can do that with this new car too, though more often of course. And the touchless places only! Hyundai = Dont care. Honda = Now I care.

I forgot to ask, what kind of polish do I get? Is there a certain kind I want to buy specifically for electric polishers? By the way, can I buff it out by hand as well.... possibly?

Think the dealer would take it out for me? It's not even a week old. Hell, it could of been there when I got it and I missed it.

Dea;er would charge you an arm and a leg, just try it out yourself. Go to an auto store and pick out a polish that you like (not too cheap in price) and do it yourself. You will feel proud of yourself for doing it yourself

well i'm in the same situation but i have a nick on left front fender... it sucks, i was driving on the freeway and was about to pass a slow truck, so i change lanes and as i watch if the truck was going to change lanes to i see a rock/nut/missle shoot from the truck's tires, and it all seems as if it was in slow motion... so i think, "oh no, (slightly move to TRY to avoid the hit)" when i see it getting really close to my car i begin yelling F*** (ding) Damn. all that happened in a fraction of a second haha. but anyways, it's a little nick exposing white stuff (maybe the primer), how can i fix it and prevent any further water damage to the surrounding paint/clear coat?

I work at a dealership and used to be a detailer at one. If they wont atleast try to get it out for you I would be amazed. Just go to the person who sold you the car and ask if he could get the detailer to look at it for you because you dont think you put it there. And if he wont... mm talk to the sales manager. I know hell take care of it for you. But a high speed buffer can get pricey and thats what you need. Might as well save the money.
