NOTE - Before you decide to begin this, warrant yourself an entire weekend and it's also not a bad idea to have a few car savvy friends help out. This swap is a long, painstaking process but in all honesty is very much so worth it in the end.
You are going to need to aquire parts for this, I didn't take pictures of everything but I tried to get pictures of everything that I could. The following is what you will need, all from a 96-00 EX/Si coupe (no four door).
-Driver door wire harness along with lock control box
-Driver door lock actuator (easier to pull the entire lock out and just swap them)
-Driver door power window actuator
-Driver door panel and all switches/buttons.
-Passenger door wire harness
-Passenger door lock actuator
-Passenger door power window actuator
-Passenger door panel and all switches/buttons
-Entire floor harness
-Entire dash Harness
-PW (power window) relay in fuse box
-Radio (not sure if the stock radio is the same for all models)
-(optional) CD player
-(optional) Cluster
Tools you will need
-10, 12, and 14mm sockets with extensions
-Screwdrivers: flat, phillips, multiple sizes/lengths if you have them.
-Door panel tools (tools used to remove interior clips and such). Screwdrivers work if you don't have them, but these help immensely
-Wire and a car battery!
-Scotch tape
-Beverages, friends, and time.
Ok, it's time to begin.
Phase 1 - Parts Scavenging and uninstallation procedures
We'll start with the doors. You need the wiring harness, the electronic locks, and the electronic window actuators out from the door. First, pop the screen off of the speaker and remove the speaker. You may need to use the flathead to get the clip off, it's a pain. Remove the 3 screws that are in the door panel around the where the speaker is, then one by the door handle, and one more right in the middle of the arm rest where the power window switches are located. Pull the plastic inserts out of the door that you just unscrewed and disconnect the them from their clips, keep them in a safe place where you won't damage or lose them. Also keep the screws/bolts that you undo. After that, carefully pull the panel off and place that off to the side. You should see something like this when you're done.
Next, carefully pull the wiring harness along with the electronic lock control box out of the door. Try your best to conserve the clips, they're a pain in the ass I know but they will be your best friend later. Once you have gotten the entire harness free, move to where the floor harness clips into the door. Pull back the rubber casing and remove the large clip from the door to free the door harness. Once that's done, put the door harness somewhere safe.
Next come the windows. Chance are the window is rolled up, you will need to move it down. If the car is a donator car, most likely you will have no way of doing this, hence why I had you bring a car battery and wire along. Strip both ends of 2 pieces of wire, touch each wire to one terminal and take the clip that once held the switches for the window. Will probably take a few tries, but when you touch the two correct pins (leftmost) the window will go down. Stop it so that the bolts line up with the holes near the bottom of the door. Take your 10mm with extension, and unbolt the two bolts holding the window on. Grab the window and pull it up until it is at the top of the door, tape it in place with the scotch tape. You should see 6 more 10mm bolts in the door. The four bolts that are furthest from the actual actuator are removed completely, the two that are closest only need to be loosened! (These have a large whole with a slot that allows you to put the bolts through and then slide it into place without hassle). Remove the window actuator from the car carefully and lay it in a safe place.
Onto the door locks, these are tricky. The actual door locks are hard to see, they are held in by 3 large screws in the side of the door and 4 steel rods that open and lock everything. First unscrew the lock from the door, be careful not to strip these screws they're often hard to get out.
Here you can see 3 of the 5 rods (one does not attach to the locks). Also, you want to remove the black piece of plastic that seperates the locks and also unbolt the 10mm bolt on the bottom left of the door to free up the rail so that you can remove the lock once you get it out.
Here are the locks out side of the car, the left is the power one. Focusing on the lock on the left, the interior door handle rod connects to where you see the
purple clip. The interior door lock rod works as the swivel in the middle, it's easier to detach it from the bottom of the swivel and leave the rod connected to the lock like it is on the right lock. Here's the tricky part, the exterior door handle. The thin rod attaches to a lever off of the lock inside the door (you'll see it clearly when you look). Remove the rod from the lock. The much thicker rod attaches to a lever on the actual handle, there are two ways of removing this. You can either remove the entire door handle which is very much a pain in the ass and unscrew the handle from the lever, or you can carefully pop the rod off of it's connection. Be very careful if you pop it off, the handle is only plastic and it is easy to break so just take your time. Once you get all of the rods free, weave the lock under the the window rail and remove the lock.
The procedure is the same for the passenger side door.
Now moving into the interior. You will need to remove pretty much everything, pull the seats out (front and back), unscrew the entire center consol, take out the bottom dash panels and glove box, pull the cluster out and pull the climate control out. Climate control is tricky, once you get the panels out from underneath it, there are three screws holding the panel in from the bottom, two holding the radio in, and then you will need to pull the pieces for the four way flashers and defroster out to get to the last two screws behind them. When all of the panels, cluster, and climate control are out from the dash, remove the dash harness. You will need to unbolt the ground behind the climate control unit and then carefully remove the clips and fish it through the dashboard. Unplug all of the pieces from the fuse box and remove the harness from the car, store it in a good position.
Should look like this. (Don't mind the aftermarket radio harness)
Next you will need to pull up the carpet and collect the floor harness. Start on the driver side. You will need to pull it back through the fender and unclip everything from the fuse box area. Then you will need to follow it, it goes down the driver side floor board so you will need to pull off the interior pieces. You will need a 14mm to unbolt the seat belt from to remove the interior. About half way, through the door, the harness splits and bridges across for your seat belt harness, ebrake harness, and then to the other side of the car and into the passenger door. The rest of the harness goes back to the tail lights, fuel pump, and all the way around a single wire runs to the door lock for your dome light. Yeah, you need the whoooooole thing.
Lastly, go the fuse box and pull out the large relay that has PW written on it, it is for power windows and you need it.
Phase 2 - Install
Follow the same exact procedure that you did when you pulled everything out of your doner car. Some things to note, the roll up windows have a long shaft that makes it hard to pull the actuator out of the door. Push the actuator UP and tilt the shaft dow
