OK I have a 2000 Integra LS and I plan on putting in a turbo next summer. Everything on the car is stock right now. I'm not sure what kind of engine I have, B18 something I believe is the stock one, (its non - vtec by the way), 1.8L What is the process in having a turbo installed? Say I take it to an engine shop to have them put a turbo in, I dont need to put a different engine in do I?, do they build the engine up so it can handle it, or is the engine fine the way it is?
Also, since I plan on getting the turbo next summer, is it pointless for me to buy a catback exhaust and header now? AKA would I need to put a different exhaust on once the turbo is in? (a turbo exhaust?) And once the car is turbo'd, there are no headers correct? It's just the intake manifold right?
well first your gonna pay out the *** if you have a professional do the job but if you have the money more power to ya. yea its prolly pointless to get a header if your going turbo. cat-back exhaust is tho. also yes you still have a header turbo its just a turbo exhaust head specially made for turbos.

header would be pointless, exhaust wont be because you need a bigger exhaust anyway, but seriously, read evertyhing over and over again and read as much as you can ^ you need to learn alot before you venture into the world of F/I
alright so I looked at that list of things you need to get when building a turbo kit. How do you know what will work with what? Also, roughly how much am I looking at $$$ wise for a decent kit? Not top of the line, but respectable.
dude, you have a LOT LOT LOT of research to do. im guessing your fairly new either to the driving world, or the tuner world. you think your ready for this kind of venture? its a big risk.
I have decided not to mess around with a turbo, Just ordered a Greddy Evo2 exhaust, and a cold air intake....next to get is 4-2-1 header. What else can be done besides these 3 things? Some bigger injectors? 550cc?
unless yourreplacing the pistons anddoing other internal workinjectors won't be needed. If i were you i would put a B16 head on your LS block. that will give you a nice increase in horsepower.
