Default torque ?

How much torque can a 98 ex tranny withstand, and what can be done to it to reinforce.

I'm talking built to the gills, or at least pretty close. Say I wanted to rev up to 4grand or so and dump it, what would it be able to handle without ripping the rearend out and demolishing my tranny? Yeah and with a turbo.

Civic's dont have a rear end, but perhaps a trans axle. If you have a manual tranny, you can get a better clutch to handle the torque you want to put to it. As for a stock, I would think you should be ok.

no rear end available for the 98 ex as its a front wheel drive vehicle. as far as transmission capabilities, there is no telling. the transmission may or may not last depending on driving. our drag car which currently at best runs 9.40's on the 1/4 and 5.60's on the 1/8th using turbo and nitrous is using factory ex transmission with a kazz lsd unit. we ususally go through 2 a month or so.
