Default My 1st gear go up to (55 mph), why so long?

I have an auto jdm b16 but i dont think it has a b16 tranny because when i tested out the gearing in 1st gear it went to 45mph @7k rpms and at 8200 rpms it went up to 55mph.
Why does it have such a long 1st gear?
how many mph does your 1st gear go up to?

why would you think that i'm driving it in those gears??
I never said i was driving it in those gears. I use the regular drive which is D4. ex. P R N (D) 3 2 1

well i wouldnt try that........ cause your trannys not built for that and a automatic IF ONE GEAR GOES OUT... your screwed.... its not like a manual when you can just skip a gear!

plus not to mention the hard wear on the motor being reved that high for so long!!!!

i would NEVER TRY THAT!!!!!!

I drive it regular but when i go WOT thats what it does and it goes to 2nd gear and 3rd and so on. I guess you dont get what i'm tring to say.

all i need to know ishow many mph does your 1st gear go up to with a b16 or a b18 swap because my swap goes up to 55mph in 1st gear @ 8200rpms, is that normal for a b16 or a b18 swap?

yea but for a b16 isnt 55mph in 1st gear kind high since people say it's a close ratio tranny compared to the other b-series
