thank you marty someone is finally not being an @$$ ... and i didnt mean i know for a fact i had 250hp i was guesstimating i weigh 2,395lbs with me in it i know this for a fact.

don't call people ass's, we simply said what we said because the story had many parts that didn't add up.  and your guesses weren't really realistic.
it's like me saying i have 150whp to my y7 with a couple boltons.

so you all are saying i/h/e and a hondata s300 tuned wouldn't add 50hp? because supposedly intake adds 10-15 then header adds15-20 then exhaust adds 15-20 then hondata s300 but ok you all are so judgemental why do you always say someone is lying and yes i am running high 13s low 14s on radials i am number 505

Clam down Bud, If you think an intake and exhaust will net you 25-35hp then I feel sorry for you because you are in for a shocker when reality sets in. As for those time slips... im not saying you are lying buy anyone can find time slips for just about any time they want. Could be a friends could be from the net, could be yours. Convenient how the location and date of the slips are cut off. Not really picking on you, but you'd be suprised how many people lie about what they have or run over the internet. Its sad really. Sorry but I dont see a 99DX with those mods putting down 190whp, maybe more like 170whp tops... putting you at mid/high 14's at best. Just my opinion...

I really dont care but dont start attacking me on the internet. Your story is full of questions to me... you do all this motor work yourself but have no real knowledge of parts and their output. Thats all im saying. Take it for what its worth. If its all true and legit then congrats, those are great times for a N/A 4 cylinder. You should be happy.

its a 99 ex with a b18c5 and you take things to literal i was saying that if you order the parts from the company they say it should add this amt of hp i know it really doesn't. thats like k&n saying their intake will add 50hp to an 07 shelby. intake adds at best 3whp header at best like 5-6whp and exhaust like 6whp. ej6 i said ABOUT which means probably not but maybe 50 crank hp you are saying you would gain 60-70 whp so its nothing even close to what im saying.  and you are saying i should run mid 14s well you SHOULD know that a good set of tires will shave off around half a second off the 1/4. but once again polo said its the internet no point in starting **** i dont care what you believe i know im not lying the people i raced know im not lying so its whatever believe me or not i really dont give a rats @$$ i just thought that fellow honda lovers would be happy for me but instead they are just arrogant @$$E$

it was just an example as to how struded this topic is.  how is my approximation not "even" close to yours, they're both just unknowledgable guesses that have no proof.  so in the end, it has everything to do with what you're saying.

apparently you do, because you wouldn't say anything in your defense if you didn't give a rat's ass.

Exactly, you care way too much about what we think... and whats with all the name calling. How old are you that you need to resort to name calling over the internet. Seriously, grow up.

Your last post just further proved my point that you truly know nothing. A good set of tires shaves off a half a second?... yeah, they are called slicks and I highly doubt you're running them with your near stock b18. So your argument there is not really valid.

Also, when an intake company says it could add up to 50hp... it could. Definitely not on a near stock civic but it probably was proven on a Shelby Stang with a tune and a pulley... a good intake system with that kind of power could possibly show a 50hp gain over a factory airbox in those extreme situations. In actuality it did produce 50hp, just not on your b18 and thats what they dont tell you in those ads. Airflow mods work more on a percentage than they do a set hp gain number. The more power adders you add the more your intake or exhaust will benefit from it. So, you are welcome for the lesson.

alright... I knew I remembered something from you and a time but I couldnt put my finger on it, then it hit me. You were the kid that honestly thought you could beat your friends EVO, even from a dig haha. (http://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_436211/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#436211)

Then in that thread you stated you ran a 13.72
quote:

"i dont think that he would kill me if it was it top shape. a stock evo8 runs like 13.2 in the 1/4 and with an inexperienced driver it will run like 13.6 and last weekend i ran 13.72 well thank you for the input i will let you know what happens"

I love how you know exactly what an EVO can run with a bad driver yet you are clueless about your own 13 second car, or is it a 14 second car this week? And here is a tip... About 1% of EVOs are probably unmodded. They take to mods like crazy and will add a few hundred ponies like nothing. Your friend would destroy you.

If I was running 13.70's there is no way id post a time slip of me running a 14 second pass. So lets just say that you are busted... I knew those slips you posted were fakes. You cut the tops off to cover the fact that they probably werent at a track you are anywhere close to or the date on them is from like years ago. I guess I win... again. But go ahead and try to flip it around on me being the meanie... atleast I dont pretend over a computer.

actually they are from houston i live in LA about 2.5 hours from houston. and whatever i am tired of fighting over the internet if you around here call me out and we will see what happens. i know im telling the truth so if you dont believe me fine and ummm i dont know exactly what an evo8 would run with an inexperienced driver that was an estimate and the evo i was talking about racing was sputtering horribly after 4500 rpms and the 14.0 pass was my first run ever i was nervous as hell. wouldnt that threads et be inconsistant with this one if i was lying? and here does this tickle you fancy?

with the trap speeds he is pulling and the weight of the car(around 2500lbs) he is making around 187 to 190whp. With is at 2475lbs it is between 185 and 187whp, 2450lbs 183 to 185whp, I honestly dont see it weighing less unless it is stripped and to have 170hp and pull those trap speeds he would need to be in a 2300lb or lighter car.
