short shifter

I have a 2000 civic with a manual trany and I was looking into getting a short shifter for it. What is the best type of short shifter to get that not only shortens the shifts but has a shorter stick that is closer to the ground. Plus I don't want to pay much more than 50 or 60 bucks for it.

DC sports makes a good short shifter it has a really short throw and it sits really low, its no longer than 9" from top to bottom you can usually pick them up cheap about 30 bucks at most

so... u hacked of 4"? how did u get the knob on there then? cause the threads dont go down 4 inches, so.. lol

ne ways, no matter what kind of short shifter you get, make shure its steel, aluminum ones break wayyy to easy.

universal knobs are held on from the side by allen screws. and yeah, aluminum ones break hella easy. Skunk2 billit steel is the way to go.

I concur. I've had two (yes, two) aluminum shifters snap off in my hand. Of course, I beat the living hell out of my car at the track:D
