I just got my header on to complete my I/H/E, so I was pumped when I saw these two black EK civics...One was a SI and the other an EX.
we cruised around alittle before catching a light with 3 empty lanes, we lined up and at the light we went
The SI was on my left, the EX on my right, and of course im in the DX in the middle lane, I kept with the SI to about 50 mph, he shifted and I stayed in second til 60 mph where I started pulling on him...after he shifted he started to slowly pull away.
I was so excited that I kept with the SI I forgot about the EX, I look to my right and he's about .75 of a car length behind me. When I got into 3rd (this is where I really noticed the header) I started to pull on the EX like the SI pulled on me. In the end I came in 2nd, I wanted to go again with the EX, feeling he missed a shift, but he said he was low on gas and didn't want to risk it.
I'm assuming that the EX only had an intake, and the SI had an axleback exhaust...I was happy with my cars performance and thought it was interesting how I matched up against the other trims
Im working on a mini me, I have the pieces, but dont have time to install...I've checked around shops to install the head, but they all want like $800. for that kind of money I should just swap an engine
street races are fun but stupid at the same time, you'll figure it out when you get ur first ticket. but congrats man, that usually doesnt happen all to often.
