I have a 94 lsi hatchback. There is no mounts in the back. I don't really want to put speakers in the parcel shelf.

I have had a look through past threads, but i can't see any results?

Obviously place to put a  speaker, is here.

Do you have a sub? I find, when I have a sub, I don't even bother sending any power to the rears... just my fronts and the sub... and in a hatch, IMHO, a sub sounds even better than in a trunk... rear-facing, of course...

ps: my advice is free, and worth every penny

You'll need to aquire the factory speaker holders and covers, if you click HERE you will need to purchase items number 2, 3, 6, 7 (if you want the oe speaker), 8, 19, 20, and 23 and then click HERE and purchase items number 9, 18, 30, 36, 20, 26, 11.

Those are all the OE pieces you'll need to install speakers in the factory locations, this being said it's hit of miss if a dealership has them instock or carries them anymore... Ebay has some of the parts n pieces but not everything together...

well...don't do what i did...i thought that would be a good spot for a speaker and busted out the jig saw and started cutting away on the driver side pannel.....and then the saw got stuck...cause the gas tank fill tube is right behind it...

i would say if you have a hatch back..then just get those mounts or some small boxes in the hatch would work good too.

What do you want rear speakers for? Focus on the front stage.

If you go on audio forums and DIY pages for installing audio, you will find that the rear speakers are pretty much useless, you don't need them. Just get a little sub.
