SoCal, im boosting a y8. it really depends on what your setup is and the tune that is done with it as there are many variables, but you can expect anywhere from 150hp-215hp with a fairly standard setup and stock internals.

So anyway, over thanksgiving my mom's neighbor's 18 year old nephew decided to give me a present in the form of a smashed in drivers side door. he backed into it and didnt even notice. So i talked with his mom and she doesnt want it on his record and therefore doesnt want to deal with insurance. she told me to go get a repair estimate and then she would just write me a check for it. i went over to the honda dealership and the estimate for a basketball sized dent in my door was, *ahem*.....$1754! i found the replacement sheet metal door skin online for $164 and a friend in the body shop at work can paint it and put it on for me for $350. So basically once the door is repaired im going to have a sh!t ton of money left over to finish this project. Also, its getting cold as hell and snow has been on the ground twice so the complete turbo rebuild and installing the lip kit may be on hold for a couple months. the project is not haulting however, my 550cc RC injectors and walbro 255lph fuel pump arrived yesterday and i'm ordering a new intake manifold, high flow fuel rail, and a big brake kit sometime between now and tuesday. i'll post pics of the damage and little things ive gotten done tomorrow. peace.

yea, it sucks but works out in my favor. that dent is essentially going to pay for racing seats, a roll cage, and my t3/t4 turbo. i just have to deal with being a tool for a while and drive around a really nice car with a big dent in the side. it annoys the hell out of me because im so obsessive compulsive with the car. if there is just the slightest blemish in the paint i freak out.

alright, snow should be clearing up in the next couple weeks and then this project will resume. first up on the to do list is big brakes in the front with ebc pads, then putting in my new fuel pump and injectors and hopping back on the dyno for a retune, racing seats with rear 6 point cage/harness bar, carbon csl trunk, and turbo system overhaul if time permits. i also have the hundreds of dollars worth of other parts i have sitting in my rrom waiting to  get put in. also, there may be a big suprise in the build but i wont know for a few weeks yet. progress will be updated once the snow melts.

big surprise, *cough* t3/t4???? why waste $500 on a cf trunk? you could use that somewhere else so much cooler! like a traction control bars, and and and an actual clutch that can handle boost! lol

and man, i cant get rid of my girl, i do, then i come back, then i do, and i come back, i hate my life! if i could only get rid of her then i could spend time with my real baby, and help you out... good luck though!

race ya to re-tune??
