Stock stereo CD issue
 

I have a 2003 Civic EX with the 6 speaker stereo cd/fm/am. My problem started off as after I start the car about 30 seconds later the radio would stop and I would get a CD error, if I listened to it it wounds like it was trying to load a CD or eject one.

Then today I went to put a CD in and it would pull it in, then eject it. I thought maybe the eject button was stuck so I pulled it up with my fingernail but it didnt seem to help.

The last thing is when a CD was playing back when it worked if I hit AM/FM the cd would not stop, I would have to eject it before I could use the radio.


If anyone has any experience with this I would appreciate the help, thanks.

Could be you have a faulty stereo.

do you have kids? did they "feed" your cd player when you wer'nt looking?

nah, I just got the car two days ago used. Must be something in it, the green light shows up as if theres a CD in it now, I cant even get a CD in when I hit eject it tries to eject and gets an error. Guess ill either tear it apart next month when I put a small sub in the back or get a new stereo

well if its an 03 u should still have a warrente............so go to the place u got it and bug out on em.

Yeah its under warranty but its a matter of getting to the dealer when I work 40 hrs and go to school a few nights. They need to be open weekends,

actually if its under warranty can I take it to any dealer? There are a few much much closer to work. One I bought it from is like 30 miles from my work

That a rtell tale sign that your cd player crapped out, that is what happens to every Honda radio when it gives up. Mine crapped out in 03 and I had it since '00
