Default E/H Help

I have been looking for a catback exhaust for my 1999 civic lx and its been really tiresome and only thing I found was a magnaflow one but my friend strongly advised against it. his reason is that it is way too loud. so i read the faqs and is this everything i need to know about getting a exhaust and headers on my car?
Q: How do I convert my DX/LX exhaust to an EX setup?
A: If you want to use aftermarket EX exhaust parts you going to have to get the following:
1)EX aftermarket header
2)EX downpipe/cat assembly (Dezod.com carries a radom tech one)
3)EX catback of your choice
4)Your secondary O2 sensor will need to be lengthed to fit in it's new location.

I like the greddy evo II will that one be fine ? and is installing the ex and all the extra stuff onto my lx something me and a friend will be able to do or will it be better to just take it to a shop?

no real point in switching from a LX exhaust to an EX exhaust. the Evo2 exhaust is great, nice sound. if u get an aftermarket exhaust, buy one thats made for ur car, just make sure it says LX next to the description.

installing is easy. common hand tools(socket set, ratchets, wd-40, etc..) will get the job done. with 2+ ppl it just gets easier.

yeah you can do it all yourself, and civicexracer i think the advantage of the converting to EX is that you can get a header and keep your cat, where if you get a header and a catback for a DX/LX it eliminates the cat when you install the header. But if you really care about it, you can always weld a universal cat somewhere in your cat-back.
