A flathead screwdriver works, but I had to actually use a chiesel  and a mallet once...

Yea I think I might have to find the old prybar and get a big mallet. I was prying at it with a big flathead for awhile and it didn't do anything. I wasnt sure if there was something I needed to remove first before so I figured I'd ask just in case. I'll be going at it tommrrow after work and we'll see how it goes.

nope, theres nothing holding it in. When I did the clutch on my CRX. one of them popped right out. The other one, I needed a 3 foot prybar.

try wedging the flat head screw driver and then hammering on the handl a bit in a perpendicular axis.

there's a c-clip inside, but that's not the problem, the problem is the twisted splines...that's how that isht binds...
