well those subs are ****.....so whatever wattage they give u.......cuz it in half......a rockford 500 watt amp would prolly chew those subs up and spit em out.......go over 1000 watts and those subs will hate you......get a rockford amp and get rid of those subs.....nice subs that can handle power id recommend Infinity Perfects or Alpine Type R's......get dual 4 ohm subs so u can have a 2 ohm load to the amp to get the most possible power.

I agree those subs aren't very good, but if you are going to keep them, dont' buy an expensive amp because you won't need that much power. Get a rockford fosgate 300 and you'll have plenty of power, they are only like 140 dollars new on ebay. Plus if you upgrade your subs you can still use that amp later.

yeah, I agree with everyone else, you wont be able to put much power to those sony's and even if you give them power they can handle it will sound shallow and crappy. Alpine's are prob the best bang for the buck. I don't think they make type r's anymore, I think type s is the new model. I heard the type s is a little bit cleaner, but isn't nearly as durable and loud.
