Default Antenna

I have XM Satellite radio installed in my car and thats usually all I listen to. At times I want to tune to just the regular FM radio. I think the antennas on civics look retarded when you extend them, so I keep mine pushed down. Is there any aftermarket antenna that any of you have used that is short and gets great reception?

its going to look weird having 2 antenna's. But if you only listen to it at times i would just do with what you have. your going to have to run new wiring to the new antenna and drill a hole in your body. U sure you want to get another antenna even though you don't use the radio alot?

I would be replacing the factory antenna. The Satellite Antenna is already on the car. I have 2 antennas on the car already. Just looking to replace the factory antenna with a short stubby one that fits in the same spot as the factory one.

Default RE: Antenna

Let me explain this in so everyone can understand it.......dropping down to 1st grade leve.

I have 2 antenna's on my car, the factory one and the satellite radioantenna. I am looking at removing the factory antenna which would give me 1 antenna.... still with me? And buying a short stubby antenna to put where the factory antenna was orginally which would give me 2 antennas.

Understand?

over here in the uk there are a lot of modders (ricers) than replace their antenna with a short stubby one, they are called bee sting's, i suppose it is a bit ricer, but if it suits your needs...

Default RE: Antenna

i have the oemblock plate over the stock location. I then went and bought an antenna that I mounted on the inside of the rear window. It doesnt get as good as reception as the regular antenna, but it works. All i really need to do still is get the antenna signal booster and it will be 100x better.

I was like you and dindt like the stock one, so this is what i did.

Default RE: Antenna

i still have my standard antenna, i dont think its that bad, plus i never listen to the radio so its not up all that often, so wasnt really a problem for me. For example the Peugeot 106 the standard antenna on that is probably the length of the car itself...
