...........rite now ive got a 94 ex with the SOHC vtec....tranny is auto ........u think it would be worth it to put the turbo on it? What gains do u think i can expect......im goin to run 6-7psi (For those who dont know).......and im curious if i should bother doing it cuz its auto.....whatcha think guys?

itll be worth it, but its hard on the tranny, so start looking for extras, you can find them around for next to nothing. its nice to have a spare laying around.

Yes, there's a "Replacement for Displacement". Its called Volumetric Efficiency.
the place i was considering allowing to do the install said 6-7 psi wont really bother the tranny........u tihnk thats also true thou?..........im goin to get a walb 255 fuel pump and some new injectors plugs and wires.........any idea what gains i should see.......im also goin to have it tuned.

you should see about 40-60 hp and your tranny should be fine, but it wont last as long as it would stock. but thats a tradeoff we all make when we do anything to our cars. but seriously, those trannys should be dirt cheap. its always good to have a spare layin around when yours breaks.

an auto to manual swap isn't very hard to do. and it might be cheaper to do than to keep buying auto trannys to put in. i've done a couple of swaps and they have always turned out good. i would think that you would be able to get a little more out of your motor as well being able to control the gear/boost timing. i'm definitley not the authority on this so i would listen to sacs, he knows what he's talking about for sure. good luck man!

yea i mean the trannys auto but whatever......i figure ill be rockin like a 180 horsepower civic......ill be able to surprise some stangs and such.......ive always wanted to do that lol.

you'll definetly be getting some horse out of it, but i just like to control when to boost and my rpm's and such. and probably because i have had 1 ride that is auto, my truck. lol. i know it policy on street racing, but domestics will really have a surprise now!
