Pete 04-09-2005, 08:01 AM on the other hand if u want a fast car that looks pretty sharp go for the coupe......they can be just as fast. sacicons 04-09-2005, 05:50 PM what kind of racing? that makes all the difference in the world. hondacura 04-09-2005, 06:15 PM straightline and street racing sacicons 04-09-2005, 07:26 PM tsk tsk tsk. but anyway, a coupe has a longer wheelbase than a hatch, which is better for traction in a straight line. and a dx coupe weighs considerably less than an SI hatch. although the other hatches weigh less than any of the coupes. 5th gen specific, though its about the same through the other gens too. hondacura 04-09-2005, 08:32 PM well i want a civic, but i dont have the money for an Si, so what are the better civics for racing besides the Si? ineedhp 04-09-2005, 09:37 PM i personally like a sleeper. that's what my ride is. almost stock looking with the $ where it counts, under the hood. you can get either and depending on how much $ you got, make it equally as fast. i perfer a 4dr, but that's me. you can do pretty much the same with any car you get. i don't really think that this forum shines on street racing though. may want to keep it on the track and dyno where it belongs, we would like to see you stick around here for awhile! good luck with your ride though. hondacura 04-09-2005, 10:07 PM well im not gonna do much if ne street racing. Most of it is gonna be done at this local track weve got here. jdmekb16 04-19-2005, 08:41 PM a cx hatch is the light one, no frills. however, on the flip side of the coin, a swap is the hardest for the cx, due to having to rewire the o2 sensor and wire in vtec, but other than that, a simple b-series swap is easy |
