turbo/supercharge my work car/daily driver?

I am a pizza delivery driver and I work 12 hour shifts about 2-3 times a week. would it not be a good idea to turbo/supercharge my car? It is pretty much getting constantly driven with a break with my car being turned off for no longer than 20 mins the entire day. I only put on about 100 miles every time I work, but the fact that my car is getting basically no rest for 12 hours straight concerns me.

If you have cooling problems there are ways to combat it. First you could get a better radiator and an oil cooling kit.

chances are, it wouldn't overheat. Engines (and turbos) tend to reach a certain temperature and stay at it (provided everything's functioning correctly). It's not like your car is going to be sitting there idling at 7k rpm or anythign that it would make a bunch of heat. And +1 on the radiator/oil cooler. Just be aware that you'll probably need premium gas with forced induction, so it would probably get expensive to run your car all day.

well if you have a nice alarm with turbo timer when you go to deliver your pizzas car will stay on for 20 min even if you take key out to give turbo proper cooling time

lol it doesn't stay on for 20 mins, more like 2-5 maybe more depending on how long/hard you have been driving it. It doesn't have to be with the alarm either, people like greddy and apexi make just turbotimers.

With the right parts and tune, your boosted honda will run like it does now. However, the right parts and tune are much more $ than the crappo ebay chit you see. A jackson racing supercharger may be a better route for you, as there are minumal heat issues, whereas turbos are spun by very hot exhaust gasses.

If youre planning on running low boost, either will suit your application well.

I think jrsc run a lot hotter. At least that is what sov said in his sc vs turbo sticky.

100 miles a day? ... The most I have driven my turbo D is for 5 hours straight when I sometimes get stuck in traffic[:'(] and never had any heating issues so far[&:]. Also, I put at least 250 miles on my car every week and she is still running great:)
