I like the color some of the symbols on tires too, like the rain, mud, sun symbols. Not all manufacturers make their symbols 'cool' though.

Yes, Autozone blows. Rebuilt alternators are iffy as far as I'm concerned. Either get new or try a Napa or Advanced rebuilt if you have to.

With a meter check their resistance. See if they're still within spec.

Did you adjust the distributor at all when you did the rotor?
Check the timing.
