OK im kind of new to this and im about to buy a civic dx. A friend of mine has a 07 Mustang GT/CS and I deffinatally want to be faster than him. What is the best way to get 300whp out of a civic. I only have about 3500 to put into the car so for that is it possible?????
well its a 98.......I have a friend that said he has a b16 that i can put in my civic and he has a turbo kit for it for $2000. My dad is a mechanic so he can put the motor in. So for $1500 can I build the b16 up and run more boost????
well you'll need a tune, so thats like $300-$400 of the $1500. So B16 swap + boost....give it some Eagle rods, Vitara pistons, ARP headstuds, but depending how much boost you could get atleast 250 hp.....still be tough to beat that car with a Civic and a fairly limited budget

i think the mustang only has about 260whp, it's rated at 300 to the motor for the GT. if you got a H22 with a b16 tranny, turbo, and stripped it out, you;d take him. H22 motor is also cheaper then a b16, b18 and a relatively easy swap. if you had a civic with 250whp, and factored in the huge weight differnence, put some good tires on it, you'd take him. mustang is a little over 1,000 lbs. heavier with driver in car, then the honda would be.

vitara is only available for d series
bahahaha pwnd. Honestly I wouldnt swap a b16 unless its free. I'd save up and get a better engine or even a b18c
