If you've never done a tranny switch, it could be tough. A good idea might be to get a friend that's done it before to watch/help you...

thats the best way if you can. if not, then get a haynes manual for your car and follow it EXACTLY. its not a horribly hard project, but you can run into a few problems. be ready to spend a little money to fix small things along the way, things you didnt even know were broken or worn, shouldnt be to bad on a 99 si though (thats the 99 in the SN right?) if you can get a friend to help with it, it will make it a lot easier. those damn trannys are hard to hold straight and line up the input shaft when reinstalling it by yourself. its possible, just not easy. Personally I say go for it. one way to learn, right? Good luck.
