So, here I am - A new experiment to test the boundries of my body. I'm not sure if anyone's heard of polyphasic sleeping, but pretty much you tune your body to eliminate the more unneccesary parts of sleeping by napping throughout the day. My schedule is 2 hours of core sleep 2-4AM and three 20 minute naps during the day. Adding up to be 3 hours of sleep, over the course of a week or two my body should get adjusted to and have a more effecient sleep cycle :) Has anyone else heard of this or have tried it?

Heh exactly. I did some extensive research on it and though there isn't any scientifical research there are lots of blogs and historical evidence. It's been nicknamed Da Vinci sleep because I guess he was one of the first who had written down the sleep cycles. Pretty much you get used to sleeping anywhere you need to and you jump right in to the REM cycle. People that I've read who have adatped it completely said they feel much better, their perception of time increases, and of course they have much more free time. Though, most people had to give it up because of their work schedule. Luckily mine is flexible :) Someone (that includes you Roto) should try it with me so I have someone to compare effects with and to talk to during the night when the rest of the world sleeps - sleep is *sooooo last year :P

I'm not one to try things when I first hear about them.

True true, your body is amazing at adapting, but will work best when it's on a rigimate plan like that. The first day over and my alarm clock reset while I was asleep for my core sleep (2-4) and I woke up at 9 X(
