Default Dies when come to stop!

Hi guys,

After I've been parked overnight, she starts up fine. Then as I start driving and
come to a stop the rpms sink way down and the engine dies...usually able to start
up again right away, but today was kind of bad--happened to me five times. This
goes away after I've driven it a while. Any ideas?

(2001 lx coupe, no engine mods yet)

Thanks,
bart

many different things, some common are clogged fuel filter, dirty injectors, dirty throttle body, dirty or improper spark plug gap, air leak. I'd start off with those by doing the following:
Maybe run some injector cleaner. Seafoam is some powerful stuff. I'd run a bottle of that through the PCV hoes and in the tank as described on the bottle. As well as clean the throttle body. Change the fuel filter, and after the tank of gas with the FI cleaner change the spark plugs.

If you've never done this before here is how I clean my throttle body(by the way this is a very common cause for rough idle as well) take off the intake rubber tube. Place a rag on the bottom of the butterfly inside the TB. This will hold it open. Spray some TB cleaner in there and with a tooth brush(or something similar) scrub all the carbon off. Try to get all that gunk with the rag you placed on the bottom of the butterfly so it wont go into your engine. Oh and make sure you look for that seafoam, they sell it at most NAPA autoparts store. That really is some good stuff(for both TB cleaner in a spray bottle and injector/intake in spill bottle).

Yeah, try the things that 97CivicEX said. That's really odd though, on a car that new. However 7th gens idle really really low for some reason, so that isn't helping.

I had that same problem.... turns out what I thought was right, I had dirty fuel injectors. Just get some injector cleaner and you should be set.
