Oh my awesome stuff for nasty headlights...check out mine...

Notice the haze, such that the lights were smoking for 8 years...
Pretty narly
ANyways, its okay...the haze doesn't mean the plastic headlight is bad...
ALL you need is restoration power...plus some tape and garage

before

after

This is a 3 step process where sandpaper is used to grind off the oxidizing components...it reminds me of soap scum.
Look at the comparisons

Anyways, thought I would share
the left headlight hasnt been done yet, the right one has

You don't have to live by the ocean to have that happen.  It happens over time from weather and especially in my area, from road salts and such materials.  It usually happens to headlights, it seems the new ones are better about not getting foggy though.

Very nice work, they look great.

Side note, this can be done using rubbing compound and a buffer too.  You can do it by hand with rubbing compoud, but its pretty tedious.

Looks good.
My headlights were the same way.
I used this stuff. About 15 minuts of rubbing and they look brand new.

Mother's Mag & Wheel Polish, and about 10 minutes per headlight does the same thing.

The only bad thing is that it'll come back after time - no matter what you do.  The plastic is the problem.
