The RWD would be nice, why not an older RX-7 or Supra?  The older 240, and Sylvia's are pretty sick and that SR20D engine is nuts.  I am very biased though I have spent the past 10 years in DSM community and there just isn't a car (IMO) that can put the power down for such a cheap price as the 1G and 2G.  I miss my 2G, and if the wife hadn't blown the engine then I would still be heavy into it.....

Not a huge fan of how the older rx-7's and supras look... now if I could find a mkIV supra that I could afford, I'd take it in a heartbeat lol... actually, the mkIII supras don't look too bad either

Anyway, like I said... there's probably about a 90% chance I'll be stuck with a wrong-wheel drive civic for a few years (not that there's anything wrong with civics... I love them.  It's just that it would be fun to have a car where the ass-end kicks out under too much throttle lol)

Something about doing 4 wheel spins in AWD, or launching at the light and all 4 tires break loose that gives me a chub......

I love the wrong-wheel drive line, that should be your sig!  I don't mind the civi's either there is endless amounts of stuff you cand do.  I really like the slam on yours, that can't ride good though can it?

ummm... I can feel when I'm driving over small rocks.

But I figure you gotta make some sacrifices if you want a slammed car.  Not to mention it takes turns like nothing I've ever seen

*edit:  might have an offer for $3500 for the civic (with the aftermarket parts)... so I might just end up buying that '91 240sx coupe

I just need to decide if I'm selling it or not... I'd really love to have rwd, but at the same time I wuv my civic

okay, the kid's supposed to come tomorrow to check out the car... my friend (the one who found the kid) says the kid's willing to pay $3500 for it as is (lowered w/wheels and everything).

Anyway, I'm looking at two cars right now... one of them's an sr20det-swapped 240sx hatch (1990), and the other's a non-turbo mr2 (1991)... Honestly, I'm not sure which I like more...  older mr2's just look sexy with the right body kit and everything, but on the other hand, I'm not sure the t-top would be great during the winter (then again, I have a sunroof in my civic, which is basically the same as far as heat loss and everything goes).  Either way, I'm getting a rwd car (yeah... I want to be able to drift lol)... and winter's going to be a bitch (I can't really afford a fwd winter beater) lol

Stay away from the NA MR2, one they are a HOLY HELL to work on.  Just thinking about it makes my sternum hurt again, from leaning over back off the car, the way the roof comes down around the back of the car right by the engine.  You have to lean over it, and man does it suck.  Second part is that its NA, NON-TURBO!!!!
The 240sx would be a way better project.  Working down at Pina Motorsports and seeing the turbo MR-2's down there, they are worse than any DSM ever thought of being for reliablity.  Sweet looking car, just hell to work on.  Good Luck bro!

Okay, I guess this is where the project ends... I went to see the kid about buying it... he wants the civic bad... so I'm getting my money (I believe $3500) friday (hopefully) and getting the title transferred.  Hopefully I'll be able to buy a 240sx soon because the cbr isn't going to be the best DD in the world lol
