Oh i know that, i was just wondering if the valve cover came stock with a coat of paint, which im sure it did, but its grey. You can get aircraft remover at Auto Zone and Wal-Mart, its just paint stripper lol

The stock cover on my 99 EX is bare aluminum, the DOHCs and older SOHCs have paint on them. Your valve cover will get warm, but not really HOT... plenty of people just paint it with regular spray paint and it holds up fine.
