oh2civic -> optronics qh-61cw fog lights (1/16/2008 4:25:35 PM)

just finished installing a pair of optronics qh-61 cw fog lights and they look pretty good for only being $16 at advance auto parts.  Any ways i dont know how the lenses will hold up to rocks and other debris on the road...if anyone else has had problems with them let me know

take a pic of them on your car and make sure you follow the review forum correctly please......second i think you get what you pay for......so if it was very cheap then you can expect cheap results. IMO

ok lets try this agian then...
product:optronics qh-61cw fog lights
distributor: Advance Autoparts
vehicle:2002 civic lx
cost:around $20
installation:pretty easy, required a saw to cut holes where factory lights go(or you could use a hot putty knife like i used to punch through the plastic),wire strippers, extra wire, soldering iron and solder, and wrenches to take off glove box and for power and ground.
installation time: it should take at most 4 hours, but i ran into a problem with the wire that was supplied that set me back a day
review:i would give them a 3.75 out of 5 because the wire that came in the kit had too much resistance...then when i had to add some length of wire in, the supplied wire got too hot and would not light up the lights.  my suggestion is to get heavier gauge wire first and make your own wiring harness or be prepared to before getting these... but now that they work they light up the road very well and are very bright and give off great cornering light.
