my boss who has a prelude just got sponsored through Pro Sport Car. They are giving him $12,000 for one year to use on his car. His car is already turbo'd, and the engine has been built up, and his interior is pretty much done. Anyways, the reason for this post is that one of the things the sponsors want him to do is recruit, so if you go to car shows in the NJ/PA area (ATCO, Englishtown raceway. or HIN in Atlantic City) and you see him with his silver lude and Pro Sport Car **** all over the place, talk to him becuase he is looking to recommend people for sponsorships.

what kinds of things do you have to do when your sponsered? For example you said go to shows, do you have to go to them on a regular basis to keep the sponsership or how does it work?

i read the paper that he got from the sponsor and it said that all he has to do is: go to and participate in at least 4 shows during the year long sponsorship. he has to display some sort of product or slogan for the company, and he just has to recruit people, which wont be too hard at a car show. thats it. I'll try to find out what shows he plans on going to and i'll let you know so if you are interested you can talk to him ok?

they took our money for "registration" then we filled out contracts, and no matter how many times i called, and how many contracts i sent, they always seemed to lose them. needless to say, none of us ever saw any parts.

if a sponsor wants to sponsor your car they are gonna follow you around and give you whatever you want. My GF has helped a guy to get sponsors and to do it right takes months of paperwork. Then if you do get sponsored it's gonna be more then four shows a year. She told me she saw the show schedual for the guy and it consisted of shows almost every weekend of the spring summer fall.......

Definately, never pay to be sponsered. If a company sees your car and wants to sponser you, they will come to you. The problem is that in order for these companies to see your car, it needs exposure. Also, once the car is sponsered, the very same exposure that introduced your car to the company in the first place must be maintained to give the company that same amount of exposure.
