Hi all, i have a question regarding downshifting to a lower gear(before stopping at a red light); I usually shift down to 3-rd but not to 2nd, what do you think and reccomened?

Personally, I never compression brake for stoplights. I figure that replacing the brake pads every year is cheaper than averaging 2-3-mpg less because of the extra revs. especially since i got the carbon metallic brake pads from autozone that come with a lifetime warranty, i just take em in and they give me a new set for free.

I did that all the time. You'll use up your clutch a bit faster than normal but its not something that has to be done.

Yeah it doesn't seem to be worth it, especially that i think it puts more pressure on the engine, I guess i would go with just using the brakes, Thanks
