I've heard about some talk about the vtec sound. what does this actually sound like? i sometimes floor it on long strips of road to see if i can hear it but i dont seem to notice any differance. (i do have a vtec engine[8D])
EDIT: you have a d17a2 right? Its a SOHC and you wont be able to hear it as much as a DOHC like in that video, but just listen to your engine around 5400 RPMs, there should be a different pitch around there. You might not rev your engine that high off, so give that engine hell and see what happens
Damn how does that vtec sound change so much? Is that acuras vtec much better then a civic or prelude? Maybe its just cause the hood is up and its being heard from outside the car.
To some people, a car is a car. But to people like us, its so much more than just a car. Its a gateway. Its our hiding spot. Its our comfort. Its an extension of ourselves

Have you heard a prelude's vtec crossover? It sounds sexier than a B-series crossover.
And Acura's vtec is louder because Integras have B-series engines, which are twin-cam, as opposed to our single cams. The crossover is a lot louder on twin cams than it is singles.
