ok so i got projectors for my 04 lx coupe. is there anyway to getting these things brighter beside retrofit HID? maybe better grounding or anything like that? these things are just dim as hell!

Also anyother cheap ways to make my lights blue. I have the H2 lights and all of them look blue till i get them installed and they are just white.. sorry if stupid ?

well FROM WHAT IVE HEARD..... the bulbs that come in those projectors just suck.... MAYBE try some new good bulbs, but if thats not bright enough then buy some HIDs for them...

i dont know what brand projectors i got for my 94 but they look just as good as stock ones. maybe i just got a killer deal tho....

Ill post some pic when I can. so you can see. Im having nothing but problems with them. Cant get them aimed correctly. there is only one ajusment point on each light that is supposed to adjust the x and y axis. and the hi beams all in one.
also the dim issue
the lights dont last worth a crap in this set up
They dont look like they were supposed to in the picture whern i bought them..as far as the output of light.

guess thats what I get for getting stuff thru ebay.

yup....my projectors are out of alignment (i just cant get them right), but suprisingly they light up really good....idk, maybe i got lucky ;) but retrofit HID's would do the trick if you want to go that route. It's been done before

I'm with addiction... I think they light up the road just fine (I'd say better than stock) then again, I'm pretty sure we both have the same headlights though lol

But I'd say change the bulbs to something good.. if that doesn't work, retrofit.

yes I am...and thats the result of bored at work/poor management[8D]

I'm sure decent projectors can be found...but mine I'm pretty sure were ebay and they are the suck. hopefully I'll get a chance to retrofit my black housing's this summer some time.

Well Guys I am in the same boat I bought my projectors and they lasted about a month too.
After I took them off some guy hit my wife and I had to get the car fixed at a Toyota dealer.
I was able to get some NEW projectors off of a Total out Camry.
This became my little project I still need a few parts to finish up and then I have to do the aiming part b 4 I put them back together...
I like the beam patteren with these projectors... I am going to be adding HID as well...http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o11/noodles38/Civic/2003%20Civic/Photo_111807_010.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o11/noodles38/Civic/2003%20Civic/Photo_111807_009.jpg

I was considering buying aftermarket headlights for my Civic. Having bright, powerful lights is key, I do alot of night driving due to shift work so was thinking of goingwith HID as well. I have been pricing IPCW lamps through nopi.com. Does anyonehave any suggestions for headlights and HID kits?

Thanks.

Argh, I ordered some TYC Elegantes over the weekend because I had it with my fogged out/oxidized inside & out passenger side stocker. I washed and waxed the car on Saturday, and BOTH lights had water in them, so I figured I would just change them out.

Please tell me that I didn't make a $230 mistake by getting the TYC Elegante headlights [sm=headbang.gif]

Just buy a plug in hid kit, the light output will be a lot better. ( but make sure you aim the headlights down to not blind people so much). But yeah i warned everyone before about getting projectors because they are bright up close, but the light doesnt reach too far ahead of the car

Stick them in the oven for 2 min at 350 degrees, then take them out and squeeze together. Then apply some Butyl subber sealant around the edges. You won't have moisture after that.

Get some 2000 grit sandpaper and PlastiX from meguiars ($5 at walmart), sand it a bit and buff with the plastiX and rubbing compund, works wonders

dude, that's awesome, welcome to the good side. i wish more people were like you.

And yes, I also found that projectors suck. I went through 2 pairs before switching to OEM in the 93 I had. First I had eBay ones, then anzoUSA ones from procivic.com. The ebay ones shined horribly, the anzo ones shined better. Neither lined up correctly or were even comparable to brand new OEMs with silverstar bulbs in terms of visibilty.

OEM/OEM style/HID retrofit FTW!

I have some OEM style black housing headlights in the Del Sol, you can see them in my avatar or pics, and I love them. They came lined up nearly perfect and I decided to not even try to adjust them in that tight space behind the power steering reservoir. They shine great too, with silverstar bulbs.

The TYCs will most likely have moisture problems too. Buy some silicone sealant and seal around the edges where the clear plastic or glass meets the housing. Walah, problem prevented.

they sell a kit at the auto parts stores to get the fogging/yellowing off.
