some guy pulled up next to me in a new 745i and started reving the **** outta his engine, so i just sat there, reached down into my glove box and took his picture on a disposable camera, then waved hi to him. i think he was more pissed that i didnt race than anything, but i got a laugh out of it. that'll teach that him, it was probably the 1st day of his mid-life crisis.

Nah, just expensive. Reminds me of the time me and my friend Paul we're riding around in his car. We pulled up to a light next to a Z06 and Paul started revving the engine, just because we wanted to see what the Z06 had (Paul runs 17.9s so we knew we would get raped). Anyway, Paul tears away from the light and the Z06 just goes like normal. So Paul turned on his flashers and the guy in the Z06 got pissed and flew by us. Ahh, good times.

a friend of mine got a new CBR recently...he was otu riding one morning, very early, and sitting at a stop light...a black SRT10 viper puls next to him, and revs...he glances over, and since hes into dodge, gives the guy the thumbs up..the guy revs at him again, and yells, id waste that rice rocket...my buddy shrugs and looks away...the guy revs again and eases up and yells.this is an 11 second viper...my buddy didnt say anything..the light turned green, they both dumped the clutches, and my buddy was soon a bit ahead of him...what the uneducated old man in the viper didnt know was that my buddy spent 3 grand in mods the day after he got the bike..and it runs low 10s...at the next light, the viper pulled back up, and now my buddy revved and said, what happened? the viper owner rolled his window up...:D

hehe, i had something like that myself. Every now and then, I get people revving at lights at me because I have a civic with exhaust, rims, and lowered. I find it funny because I rev right back and look at the light, then they always burn out and fly away while I take off nice n slow. I always have a larf makes em look like a total retard. But i gotta try this camera thing hehe sounds like it would make em mad.

my older dodge that i posted in "my first car" section, is loud, and is fairly fast for a big car, running mid to low 12s...i store it in the winter and i was driving it from storage to the shop last summer and i was sitting at a light, tech numbers on the back and sides, open headers and slicks...and a guy pulls up next to me in a mid 90s Si Coupe...at least it looked like it...it was blue, lowered, and had a huge tach in the corner of the windshield..as does mine...he revs, and the passenger beats on the outside of the passenger side door and yells...wanna race? i said no...amazingly, the driver revs again, and leans over and yells, "thats smart, i eat pieces of V8 S*** like that for breakfast"...now i dont recall what movie it is from, but i pulled out the "you eat S*** for breakfast? thats gross..." the light turned green, i jumped on it..he dumped the clutch and stalled it...:eek:

One time, at night, I pulled up to a light and a Camaro SS pulls up next to me and starts revving his engine. So I figured, why not, since it was around 2 in the morning. Then my radar detector started going off, so I gave it a quick rev and waited for the light. It changed, and he took off like a bullet strapped to a bat outta hell. The cop was behind him the entire time and when I left the light normally, the cops lights flipped on and he got pulled over. I calmly went by, laughing my ass off.

well i got a story for you guys i just bought a 97 teg ls. and i was driving around to get a feel of it. i stopped at the light and there was a new pt cru turbo charged and he was laughing at me. i pulled down my window and looked at him. then he yells i bet i can kill you with this car in less then a 5 seconds. now i havent done anything to the teg YET but i've took a out few things for weight reduction. sooo i was thinking if i should race this guy or not. so i was like iiight let me see what you got old timer. so he takes off i gave him a lil time of hope then i double clutched and took off. i caught up to him and ride besided him and then gunned it and saw him in my rear view mirror. of course at the light he started to talk his smack saying that i had nos or watever. i told him look old timer if i was you i would return that car and get a better one cause you just waisted about 20 something grand on a car thats turbo charged and cant beat a stock non turbo non v-tec teg. i've never seen a old guy so mad before lol

Awesome, way to put him in his place. I'm not familiar with the PT turbo, but I wouldn't guess that they're too fast. Even with a turbo, those things are heavy as hell. Nice kill.

That story of the CBR and the Viper reminded me of my cousin. He had a Suzuki TL1000R, modified out the wazoo (idk motorcycle mods or anything, but it had a Yoshimura exhaust system, suspension upgrades, and then some other stuff to the ecu or something). We were driving down the interstate in my parents van with my other cousin and he glances over at us, slowed down a bit, prolly to 70-75 or so, then hits the gas and rode a wheelie for about 5 seconds or so....it was simply amazing

hell, in the si on a 50 shot we schooled some older ones, like c4s. the z06s are cool, and the new c6s are good, but the older ones aint all that great. not BAD, just not as be all, end all as everyone seems to think.

yeah like in november or something Car and Driver did a test drive on the C6 and they drove it against a porce 911. the vette beat it out in every aspect but like interior headspace or something like that. they say they cant wait for the Z06 model of the C6

My favorite cars (and drivers) to drop were always SRT-4's. I remember this one guy from high school named Mitch. He had a bright flaming yellow one, and he thought he could walk anything (he tried to drag my friend Alec's 11.2 sleeper WRX, then blamed his 6-car-length loss on old oil and an air filter...).

Well, I was coming back from the wholesaler at the pier with a few Legacy parts and my brother, and I ran into him alone across the the light for the I-5 on ramp. He flashed me like a pompous prick, and followed me onto the freeway. Now, this guy knew what my car was, and I had told him what I had done to it (which was just the swap, upped boost, and suspension) and he still thought he would be all over me. My brother and I were just smirking at him when he pulled up on me on the freeway (RHD, so I was right next to him). He starts dry-revving and dumping the clutch at 65 trying to burn out, but he's just bucking all over the place; then he starts kind of lunging in at me, which is probably the stupidest thing I can think of. I change lanes to the left to get away from him, so he moves over, rolls down his window, and starts taunting me. "What, are you afraid your stupid ricebox is gonna get schooled?" and crap like that. So I look around for fuzz, and I'm like, "fine if it'll make you happy," and my brother just starts laughing like crazy (even his car could hand Mitch his ass, and he's 15 doing his own work).

Anyway, we roll on at 60, I'm parked in 2nd, he honks, then tries to downshift and take off, but completely misses 3rd and pounds his gears. I jumped to take off, but when I heard that, I backed it off and just waited. Then I hear him finally catch 3rd, honk again, and punch it. His car leans back like crazy, he jumps maybe 5 feet in front, and I heard that little 15G whistling like a possessed teapot. I ease on the boost so as to keep the rear wheels planted (1.2 BAR can make them a little jumpy...), and just walked him steadily to 110, then shut it down. He rolls back up, and my brother is just laughing his ass off and pointing at him. Well, he wanted to go again, and then again from 50, and guess what? Same result, except I had even more space on him at the end. He got off the freeway at the next exit, and that's the last I saw of him before I sold my car...

I hate SRT drivers; they think they're all in on some big secret that no one else knows about, but they're still just driving Dodges...

well, i have seen some Healthy SRT4s...i lost to a guy with a debadged, baseline bodied sRT4 last year..he ran an 11.90...but i find that in most cases...SRT drivers go on and on about "ricers"..meanwhile..they have stage 2, a CF hood..body kit, a massive aftermarket wing, and 18"..yet with the stage two that puts it to like 250hp on 108 octane, they still only run 13.5s...:eek:

a great many of them seem to do the same things that these "ricers" that they talk about do..yet since their car is "american" they are exempt from ricer status? i dont think so.

evo kids are like that too. pulled my first real race the other day. i was sitting at a stoplight at about 11 at night with my dad. now my dads usually a safety freak and everything, but when something makes him mad, and i mean MAD, he drops everything to fix it. so we're at this stoplight, and a kid in an Evo (VII i believe) pulls up next to me and starts laughing at my civ (bone stock). pulls that stupid ass line from 2F2F out of his ass 'whered u get that car? bottom of a cereal box?' I just look away, my dad doesnt even look at him in the first place. he starts revving his engine at like 8000, his friends are laughing, and they hold this for a long time. my dad eventually flips, gives 'em the finger, looks at me and is like 'dont lose'.

the kid had a horrible launch and swerved a ton, he couldnt control his car at all, i had two car lengths on him by the time it was over (it was about half mile?)

yeah theyre all talk and no show and they could prolly fit their 150 mm muff tips in their mouths. kid later said i was cutting him off, he just plain couldnt control his car, i dont get how you could suck that bad at driving to lose to a stock civ when ur in an Evo.

Actually, I've noticed that a lot of Evo owners know and respect their roots (as it were). My brother's current car can walk Evos like dogs, and it's a ****ty looking 1G DSM sleeper. Of course there's always a few rich kids now and then that just want to talk crap and think it's all about looks and "shiny", but for the most part, they recognize where the Evo's heart and soul come from. As for those precious few cocky motherf***ers, there's enough satisfaction in just knowing that they're going to wreck within a week.

well like i said a longo time ago (had to be a month) everyone in my town is either fithly rich or dirt poor. my family is fithy rich but are so tight with their money its just........UGH. well anyways...the kids in my town who can get these expensive cars dont know anything about cars, the only ppl who know anything about anything about cars in my town are the kids who are in auto tech class at school...and theres two classes total between the two highschools.
