Hey guys, I'm new to this forum so I'm sorry if this isn't the right place for this post. Anyway I have a few questions that I'm hoping you can help me out with. First of all I have a 93 honda civic ex. I have the money for a new engine (b16a) and ls tranny, turbo, cool air intake, and headers set aside. I already have an exaust on the car. Before I purchase these items I am wanting to know what class I will be able to run in. Basically, I'm trying to figure out what kind of modifications you can have in stock, street, import class, etc. Thanks for any help in advance.

Uhh... there aren't classes in drag racing until you start getting serious. This isn't autoX. And no, a B16A2 with a turbo and cold air intake (wtf...) will not get you into these classes.

Yeah, there are classes...most likely I will be running import class or street class and the strips here in Ohio. In order to run street class can you have lexan windows?

Call the tracks, and seriously, another thing i noticed, youre gonna have to research. a b16 is a terrible platform and if youre gonna boost the car, you dont need a header...research and then come back and talk

You're refferring to SFWD. Street Front Wheel Drive class. Yeah, top competitors in that class are running 9.2s. Hope you're up to the challenge! And no, you can't run lexan windows. Needs to be full interior 2400lbs cage, chute, etc.

Well I contacted one of the tracks around here and all they're saying is that I can't have any aftermarket electronics but I am allowed to run open headers and slicks. No, I'm not planning on going to national events, just some local events within a few hours of my house. Basically, I think I'll just drop the b16 in, do some internal engine work, and maybe a 50 or 75 shot nitrous...that should put me somewhere around 12-12.5 if it's done correctly. And before you argue about it, I've seen it done.
